About Us

Dentistry for Adults & Children began with a vision: to provide the highest standard of dental care while building meaningful, lasting relationships within the community. Founded by Dr. Craig R. Williams, whose father and sister were also dental professionals, the practice has always been deeply rooted in family, service, and faith. From the beginning, Dr. Craig’s approach to dentistry has been shaped by compassion, integrity, and a belief that quality care should be personal and enduring.

Over the years, the practice has grown in both size and reputation, becoming a trusted name for generations of patients across Barrie and beyond. We’ve continued to evolve our services while holding fast to the values that built our foundation. Our walls hold decades of stories, milestones, and smiles. As we reflect on our legacy, we remain focused on the future, committed to delivering excellent care with the same passion and purpose that started it all.

Our History

Dentistry for Adults & Children dental practice was started in Barrie in 1980 by Dr. Craig and his wife, Dr. Helen. Barrie was selected because it was far enough North to cottage country yet still had a population to support the two dentists in their practice. Since its founding, the practice evolved with Dr. Helen’s focus on TMJ and orthodontics. Dr. Craig’s focus was on general dentistry, but being skillful in surgical procedures, implants, endodontics, and cosmetics to improve the lives of his patients. In the earlier years, living in Barrie, the option to refer to specialists was limited so they became proficient in those disciplines.

The practice has had three locations, starting with 11 Ferris Lane from 1980 to 1990 then 201 Cundles Road East up to 2011. The practice is presently at a building owned by Dr. Craig at 162 Bayfield Street. This current location was a former dental office, owned by a local oral surgeon Dr. John Milkeraitis. It was fully redesigned and renovated by Dr. Craig and his team (including local Barrie Firefighter Gord Beilby as site supervisor). Dr. Craig’s spouse, Dr. Helen Williams, retired from the practice at the end of 2021.

While Dr. Craig and Monica lead the patient care at the heart of our practice, our broader team works behind the scenes to ensure every experience is seamless and reassuring. Due to privacy preferences, individual profiles aren’t shared here, but patients are greeted daily by a friendly and experienced group who handle everything from scheduling to hygiene cleanings, dental investigation, and support.
